Bespoke straight edge large dining table in rustic oak

Becky & Jane, Sussex, UK wanted a waney edge wood dining table to add character and interest to their modern dining space. The couple was especially impressed with our past table designs and wide selection of waney edge wood slabs.

Following a thorough discussion, Becky & Jane decided to opt for a live edge solid oak table top supported by a pair of aged steel table legs. Both waney edge oak table top and custom steel table legs were handcrafted to order on our premises in Sussex, UK.

The bespoke waney edge solid oak table was comprised of two kiln-dried, large live edge oak slabs, finely sanded, protected with satin lacquer and finished with clear wax. The open wood grain, knots, voids and internal bark were preserved with clear resin to retain the organic appearance of the waney edge oak dining table top.

These earthy® features form stunning chocolate-brown swirls which contrast elegantly with the luminous colour palette of English oak.

Enforced by a robust set of custom steel table legs, calibrated individually to the size of the waney edge oak table top.
